Microblading is a tattoo-like technique that uses a very precise tool to create fine, realistic, and natural-looking hair strokes. Pigment is implanted under the skin with a manual handheld tool. The strokes are drawn to look like hair, mimicking their natural shape, color, size, and style. Technically, it is a tattoo because of the use of pigment, but the difference is that the ink used in microblading is not permanent. It is semi-permanent, and it will naturally fade over time. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, fading of the ink is desirable as it allows the artist to create a natural coloration to match the person’s facial structure.
Simply put, microblading will create the most realistic looking brows compared to any other method. It does not smudge; nor does it smear. When completed by one of our professionals, it will be near impossible to tell the difference between microbladed eyebrows and natural ones.
Microblading is a safe process that will give you lasting results. No more need for pencils or powders. It’s a lasting technique that will really enhance your appearance.
Since microblading is semi-permanent, your eyebrows will need a touch-up every once in awhile. Most patients do need a touch-up treatment roughly one month after their first session, but after that, additional microblading treatments will only be necessary once every 1 to 3 years depending on the patient.
Most microblading treatments take only 1 to 2 hours tops. It might seem like a long time, but if you think about all the time you’ll save from not having to do your eyebrows every morning, it’s definitely worth it.
Whenever a microblading treatment is performed, we typically use a strong numbing cream. The cream makes the process virtually painless. Some do report a poking, tingly sensation when the treatment is being performed, but other that, there’s no pain at all.
Always remember that aftercare is essential after any treatment. After a microblading treatment, you can expect your eyebrows to be darker than normal for a few days. There may also be some redness, swelling, and a little soreness, but all of it will go away as your eyebrows naturally heal.
In order to get the most out of your new eyebrows, always be sure to follow the aftercare plan we provide. In general, it’s best to avoid all moisture and things that will make your new brows wet. This includes things like heavy workouts, swimming, and even washing your face. It’s also best to avoid applying makeup to the area for several days while your brows heal.
