Precision Plus VI Peels

Precision Plus VI Peels

Your Peel For Sun Spots & Pigmented Skin

Sometimes a normal VI Peel might not be enough, especially for those effected by hyperpigmentation—the condition where patches of skin become darker than the surrounding skin. While usually harmless, hyperpigmentation can still be irritating to those who have it. Fortunately, the VI Peel Precision Plus comes equipped to tackle those pesky dark and discolored spots. If you have hyperpigmentation and are wondering if the VI Peel Precision Plus is for you, here is what you need to know.

What is VI Peel Precision Plus?

The VI Peel Precision Plus is made from the same type of ingredients as the regular VI Peel: TCA, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, and other ingredients. The difference between the two, however, is that the VI Peel Precision Plus is about 25% stronger, and in addition to the regular ingredients, hydroquinone is added to inhibit pigmentation when your skin exfoliates. Both of these chemicals create a glowing and even skin tone that many people crave. Lastly, kojic acid is added, fighting the discoloration of your skin when your skin begins to heal.

Overall, the difference between the VI Peel Precision Plus and a regular VI Peel is that the Precision Plus specifically targets sun spots and pigmented skin. If you have dark sun spots or other pigmented areas, VI Peel Precision Plus may be the better option for you.

The Process

The process is much like a regular VI Peel. The chemicals are applied to your face in two phases. One to open up your skin and a second to get into the lower layer of skin to clean out the dead skin layer and any toxins. Once they are applied, you’re good to go.

Is It Painful?

The VI Peel Precision Plus is relatively painless. Those who get a treatment may experience a slight, warming sensation, but that will quickly pass. If you have sensitive skin, there are cooling options available to help alleviate the warming sensation.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

The treatment usually takes 20 to 45 minutes. We recommend that you don’t wash off the chemicals for at least 5 hours for best results.

When Will I See Results?

With the VI Peel Precision Plus, you’ll notice the same peeling after a few days as the regular VI Peel. Within six days, your skin will have completely peeled, revealing a new layer of young, glowing skin. With the PI Peel Precision Plus, you’ll notice clearer skin, reduced age spots, softened lines and wrinkles, and the reduction of acne scars. The full results typically appear about 4 to 6 weeks later, but you may notice immediate improvements as soon as the skin finishes peeling. After treatment, you’re free to continue with normal activities.

Are There Any Side Effects?

The VI Peel Precision Plus is a very safe and effective treatment. Typically, there are minimal side effects apart from discolored skin during the peeling process. That being said, in some extreme cases, usually from an allergic reaction to one of the chemicals in the peel, a patient may experience burns, bruising, and scarring.
