Xeomin is an FDA-approved medication that acts a lot like Botox. Made from the same bacteria as Botox, Xeomin essentially ‘paralyzes’ the muscles in order to smooth the frown lines between the eyebrows (the glabellar lines) as well as crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. Xeomin injections are also approved to treat cervical dystonia and blepharospasms (eyelid spasms).
Each Xeomin treatment session can take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
While everyone has a different pain tolerance, most patients report having virtually zero discomfort.
Like Botox, you should see results almost immediately. Most of the time you’ll see improvements as soon as 3 to 4 days later, and typically, the results will last you around three months. Additional treatments are required over time to maintain improvements.
Xeomin contains no additives which makes your body less likely to develop antibodies that break down the product. Some individuals prefer Xeomin over botox as they experience a quicker onset of action with longer duration.
